Traffic image sequence classification

The article introduces a general survey of concepts used in traffic monitoring applications. It describes different approaches for solving particular steps of vehicle detection process. Analysis of these methods was performed. Furthermore this work focuses on the design and realization of complex robust algorithm for real-time vehicle detection. It is based on analysis of video-sequence acquired from static camera situated on highway. Processing consists of many steps. It starts with background subtraction and ends with traffic monitoring results, i.e. average speed, number of cars, level of service etc.

Mitigation of Volumetric DDoS Attacks in SDN Environment

The aim of this Master's thesis is to explore different attitudes and to design various monitoring and detection concepts of volumetric DDoS attacks in core networks. The thesis deals with data flow control protocols with an emphasis on a modern technology of Software Defined Networks. The last part of the thesis describes verification of the theory by setting up a laboratory environment for volumetric DDoS UDP Flood simulation, detection and automated mitigation.

DHCP Monitoring Using IPFIX

This thesis describes procedures for traffic monitoring of network protocols BOOTP, DHCP for IPv4 and DHCP for IPv6 through netflow probes FlowMoon made by Invea-tech. There are outlined the issues of these protocols, the functionality of the FlowMoon probe, a general description of NetFlow and the description of the solution for collecting and evaluation of the data. A deep analysis was made, and later on the modules for FlowMoon probe was written giving the possibility to monitoring of these protocols. Their implementation, method of testing and evaluation of gathered data is described in this paper.
